White Mold - Agronomic Impact

Although there is no reliable threshold value for white mold yet, field data from several states indicate that the risk of yield reduction is minimal when incidence is less than 20%.

Yield loss has been estimated at 4 bu/ha for each 10% increment of diseased plants. However, depending on variety, soybeans can withstand a substantial amount of white mold before significant yield losses occur.
